Respected Members,
At the outset I would like to thank all the members, Dr. S. N. Singh, President, Dr. Praveen Mittal, Secretary and Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Ex-President, Dehradun Orthopaedic Society for entrusting their faith in me for the position of Joint Secretary. Dehradun Orthopaedic Society is the largest among our Uttarakhand States City Clubs and has had many tall and visionary leaders in the past since its inception since 1988.
The purpose of the society has been to continue academics and camaraderie among the city's ever growing orthopaedic surgeons. We have several new challenges as orthopaedic surgeons with the changing landscape of trauma, along with new advances in orthopaedics. In the new era of increased litigation and complex injuries and diseases with increasing demands of patients, our society serves as a nurturing home where we all can share our experiences and help each other to tackle the new problems we face as clinicians and surgeon.
I look forward to increasing our membership drive and making our society more robust and useful for all the members and our trainees in the nearby teaching institutes thru our monthly meets and occasional symposiums and workshop. I wish you continue to support me and the current team.
